Step 1: Paste data into your spreadsheet
Paste your information into an Excel spreadsheet. The example below uses Office 2008 for the Mac,
this approach works for all versions of Excel, on all supported platforms.
This example calls for the first and last name, and the email address, to be in
separate columns. First name in column "A," last name in column "B" and the
email address in column "C."

Step 2: Create a simple formula
Expose a fourth column "D" and paste in the following formula:
="""" & T(A1) & " " & T(B1) & """ <" & T(C1) & ">,"
This function's job is to create an entry that adheres to this format:
"first last" <email@domain.com>,
You'll end up with something like:

Step 3: Copy the formula into the other cells
Now you'll want to copy this formula into all the cells in the same column
by dragging the corner of the first cell, "D1," down. You'll end up with
something similar to:

Step 4: Import into Eyejot
Importing into Eyejot is now easy. Select the column of names and email address
created in step 2. You can do this by highlight column "D" and copying it to your
clipboard. On the PC you do this with control-C. On the Mac it's command (Apple)-C.

Next, click on the "Friends" tab in Eyejot and then click on the Import button.
Now, paste in the contents of your clipboard, as shown below:

There's no need to press the icon button shown in "Step 1" of the import screen. Just paste in your data from Excel and then press the "Import into Eyejot" button. If you want to also save your entries into a specific group be sure to have first created the group and then select it from the drop-down list and mark the checkbox labeled "Import into the group."
After you've pressed the "Import into Eyejot" button your entries will be imported
into your Eyejot address book and, optionally, one of your groups.
